I took delivery of my grandsons new custom crib mattress yesterday and I must say how delighted I am with it! When I saw the quality of the original mattress which came with the crib I couldn’t believe how inadequate it was; a piece of foam. I immediately sent off a template for one of your mattresses which is superb quality. I am sure my grandson will sleep much sounder on his new mattress. As all of our mattresses are handmade in the UK, here at The Little Green Sheep we can make any mattress of any size. So if you have an odd-shaped cot or you just need an upgrade on your old mattress, we will be able to help.
Each organic mattress is made using only the finest quality materials; each specifically chosen to help provide the safest and best mattress for your baby.

How to order your custom mattress

What do you need the mattress to fit?
Please select what type of funiture you are creating a mattress for

What size mattress do you need?
Measure the size of the mattress you need, and simply enter these dimensions into the boxes below
Step 3
What corners do you require?
Select whether your custom mattress is rectangular or curved (e.g. Moses baskets).
Step 4
Do I need to provide a template?
If your mattress has rounded corners, we will require a paper template (see instructions below on how to create this).
The sooner we receive your template, the sooner we can get making your mattress!
NB: The estimated delivery date above is based on us receiving this template within 3 working days.

The make up of your custom mattress depends on the size and type of the mattress:
Cot & Cot Bed
Each cot and cot bed custom mattress contains four main materials; coconut fibre bound with natural latex, organic Welsh wool and organic cotton. Each material combines to provide your baby with a firm, supportive mattress. The coconut fibre ensures that the cot mattress retains its long-lasting support and firmness for up to 5 years.
Moses basket, Crib and Pram
Every Moses basket, crib and pram custom mattress is made from four to five layers of organic Welsh wool and an organic cotton cover. This provides a slightly softer support for your newborn baby without the core of coconut coir.

Delivery
Lead times on our custom mattress are normally between 3-4 weeks, and when in stock an advisor will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date.
All custom mattresses are handmade especially to your specifications
Any mattress of any size
Soil Association certified as organic
Cot and cot bed - 10cm depth
Moses basket - 4cm depth
Crib and pram - 5cm depth
We recommend turning your mattress regularly
Hoovering your mattress will help reduce the risk of dust mites
A waterproof mattress protector is recommended
