Here at The Little Green Sheep, we don’t do our research by hugging trees or growing vegetables! But we do know that through using natures own properties rather than cheaper chemical substitutes; our products offer a better quality, long-lasting, superior alternative.
3. Environment
Avoiding the use of any pesticides and herbicides in the growing of the organic cotton, or any bleaches and dyes in the manufacturing process, helps to protect the environment.
There are some fundamental differences between organic and ‘natural’ products, particularly when it comes to baby mattresses.
Whilst natural cot mattresses are a definite improvement on cheaper foam based alternatives, chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides are still often used to treat the cotton and wool. In addition to this, natural cot mattresses tend to offer less support for your baby, due to using fewer layers of wool.
Organic cot mattresses offer a high quality, long-lasting alternative, proving better support through using more layers of organic wool. And by using only certified organic cotton and wool, you can rest peacefully knowing that neither your baby´s mattress nor the materials that go into making it have been treated with any chemicals whatsoever.
Be sure to look out for the Soil Association seal of approval on all organic products.
